🐾 Pet of the Week — Patches

November is Adopt a Senior Dog Month, and Patches is the perfect example of why older pups make the best companions.

 

He came to the shelter after the untimely passing of his owner. It took him a few days to realize he was safe, but once he bonds, this big hound is deeply loyal.

 

You’ll often find him carrying one of his many stuffed animal friends — and it’s impossible not to fall in love.

 

Patches does have ongoing allergy-related skin issues and will likely need continued treatment, but he’s full of heart and ready for a soft place to land.
